About

Hello!

Welcome to my academic website! I am graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at University of California, Irvine.

My research interests are  in understanding important biophysical processes (like protein-folding, protein-ligand binding and permeation of solutes through lipid membranes) using molecular dynamics. In particular, due to the large timescales involved (usually microseconds - milliseconds), I use enhanced sampling methods such as Metadynamics and Weighted Ensemble methods to ensure that the free energy landscape of is sufficiently sampled,

I did my bachelors  in Chemical Engineering integrated with Masters in Chemistry from BITS Pilani. During my time at BITS Pilani, my research in chemical engineering was focused on computational fluid dynamics, where I worked on the linear stability analysis of different fluid flows. In Chemistry, my research was focused on prediction of thermophysical properties of liquid mixtures through mathematical modelling
